The book is aimed at adults and young adults alike.
The second book on the ‘Koriba’ series – ‘In The Rattle of the Shaman’s Bones’ is now available in paperback.
The novel follows the continuing adventures of the prehistoric tribe, battling climate change, fierce enemies and internal strife. The books are set in Africa around 43,000 years BCE.
The paperback version is available to buy directly from the print on demand providers here. (Buying direct means more money for the author, by the way, and less for the middle men).
It’s also available through Amazon in the US and in the UK, and from Barnes and Noble. (It might take a few days for the print version to become available at B&N).
The first book in the series, ‘The Dry Lands’ is available in paperback from the same sources: direct, Amazon, Amazon UK and Barnes and Noble.
A paperback version of ‘The Dry Lands’ by Simon J. Townley is now available, with more print versions of Beardale publications to follow soon.
‘The Dry Lands’ is the first in the ‘Koriba’ series of books set in deep prehistory. The stories take place in Africa around 43,000 years BCE. They follow the fortunes of Temfe, a young man of the Koriba tribe and son of the chief. In the first book, the homelands where the tribe has lived for longer than anyone can remember have slowly become surrounded by uncrossable deserts. The tribe is cut off from the world, and the hunting are shrinking as climate change deepens and the rain don’t come.
Temfe and the other young men of the tribe set out to find away across the dry lands, and save their people.
